Per Diem-Speech Language Pathologist for Head Start (school-based) Program in Schenectady and outpatient clinic at Sunnyview Rehab Hospital
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, a state of the art acute rehabilitation hospital located in Schenectady, NY and a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners, is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist with pediatric experience to work with Schenectady School District students enrolled in the Head Start Program – a school-based program and also help with pediatric patients at our outpatient clinic. Responsibilities:
Travel to Schenectady area schools to treat children in a school setting. Schedule is 8a-2p (flexible) during the week.Formulate comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.Participates in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards.Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degreeCompletion of Clinical FellowshipCurrent NYS Speech Pathologist license and registrationCertified by the American Speech and Hearing AssociationExperience with pediatric patients is a mustFlexibility, exceptional clinical reasoning skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.Per Diem RATE IS $50/hour
Experience-based Pay Range for Full-Time and Part-Time:$37.60 - $47.60
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
