Speech Pathologist, Casual

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing.

Responsibilities:

Prepares diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services. Maintains compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies’ requirements (OSHA, TJC, CMS) and practitioner requirements (CEUs, licenses, certifications). Provides diagnostic evaluative services for clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology. Delivers appropriate speech pathology treatments to clients. Actively participates in staff meetings, development programs, and in-service education. Adheres to organizational policies, including Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA regulations. Maintains confidentiality and accurate progress notes and professional records. Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Coordinates evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients. Pursues professional growth, presents educational programs, and participates in community education.
