Education
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from accredited college or university.
Experience
1 year directly related experience in a medical setting. Focus should include pediatric speech-language and pediatric swallowing disorders.

Certification of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and a State of Maryland License in Speech-Language Pathology.
Physical Requirements
Audio-visual acuity to be able to read small print and perform perceptual diagnostic assessments. Ability to reach, stoop, crouch, walk and stand.Working Conditions
Clinical and office conditions. Exposure to radiation in acceptable amounts as monitored by a qualified laboratory.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive, swallowing and voice disordered patients with neurologic etiology.Provides evaluation and management for all patients with dysphagia. Evaluation techniques include clinical evaluation, Modified Barium Swallow and FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of the Swallow).Satisfies departmental clinical productivity requirements.Participates in interdisciplinary patient care conferences.Documents services rendered including written patient evaluation, reports and patient progress notes on patient’s chart.Consults with other professionals as appropriate and generates appropriate referrals.Conducts demonstrations and lectures within and outside the hospitalAssist with cataloguing and interpreting of all video fluoroscopic swallowing studies within the department.Conducts quality assurance studies in conjunction with the Speech Pathology Clinical Manager.All roles must demonstrate GBMC Values:

$28.47 - $46.69Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
