Speech Pathologist
Job Description​

The Speech Pathologist at SLS/SLRI provides prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis management, and counseling services to acute and inpatient rehabilitation clients with speech language cognitive communication and/or oral and pharyngeal sensorimotor impairments. The SLP plans, directs, and conducts habilitative, rehabilitative, and counseling programs to treat impairments involving verbal and written language, voice articulation, fluency, interactive and cognitive communication, mastication deglutition, auditory visual processing and memory, and assistive and/or augmentative communication treatments and devices. Periodically reevaluates client to determine effectiveness of interventions and contributes to discharge planning. Supervises treatment provided by students or speech therapist assistants and recommends client care interventions to other members of the health care team. Delegates and instructs supportive personnel in services to be provided and performs other duties as requested by the manager.

Applicable Experience:

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Cert Clinical Competence-Speech/Lang - American Speech Language Hearing Association, Speech Pathology - Various

Bachelor's Degree
