What's this role all about?As a full time Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting.
Perform evaluationsDemonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategiesComplete discharge planning for patientsKnowledge and experience with bedside swallow exams and video swallow evaluationsMust possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboard and mouse skills). As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, databases, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting.QualificationsEducation Requirements:Graduate of an accredited SLP program - Masters minimumLicense/Certification Requirements:Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of CaliforniaBasic Life Support (BLS)What else are we looking for?Prefer experience in an acute care setting that includes clinical swallowing evaluations, modified barium swallow evaluations, speaking valve evaluations.
