As a Speech Pathologist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide coordinated speech therapy assistance to patients of all age groups. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy and a passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills. **Essential Job Functions:** + Administer speech therapy treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist. + Adhere to infection control practices and standard precautions during patient care activities. + Accept clinical assignments that align with education and competencies to care for patients. + Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and team members. + Maintain continuing education requirements to ensure professional growth and competency. + Promote compliance with fiscal intermediary and third-party payer requirements through education and coaching. + Perform other related duties as necessary. **Minimum Knowledge and Skills:** + **Education and Experience:** Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy. One year of experience as a Speech Therapy Assistant in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Pediatric and Home Health experience preferred. + **Certifications:** Current Texas State License to practice speech therapy. + **Other Skills:** Strong therapy skills in accordance with the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory standards.
