Job Summary:
Provides assessment, treatment, planning and education to persons with speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders.
Job Function:
Administers speech/language evaluations, tests or examinations with patients to collect information on type and degree of impairments.
Evaluates speech/language test results and medical/background information to plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice and swallowing disorders.
Provides direct patient treatments based on results of evaluation; documents patient response to treatment.
Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plan accordingly.
Provides education to patient/caregiver as indicated.
Teaches and supervises SLP students; maintains communication with clinical supervisor to enhance practicum experience.
Maintains competency and required continuing education.
Education: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Licensure: Current KY Speech Language Pathology license
Certification(s) :Certification of Clinical Competence, BLS certification through the American Heart Association
