Speech Pathology Resident - Speech & Audiology - Otolaryngology

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide professional skills in diagnostic evaluation of patients with speech, language, cognitive, oral and pharyngeal swallow function, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services under the supervision of a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist..

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Select, administer and interpret diagnostic tests.
Plan and conduct treatment for patients with communication disorders.
Demonstrate clinical skills for age specific populations - one position will have a primarily pediatric focus and the other a primarily adult focus with some overlap in basic skill areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree, Clinical Fellow eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and eligible for Intern license from the Texas State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Eligible for Texas Speech-Language Pathology Intern License. Master's degree in Speech Pathology. English. Spanish desirable. Prior practicum experience in medically based or rehabilitation practices.

SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
