Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Participates as a member of the health care team, working with professional, non-professional staff and associated professionals in providing care which provides optimum continuity of care to referred patients, addressing the age of the patients served.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

Current licensure by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance as a speech and language pathologistCurrent BLS certification (Must be through the American Heart Association)One year experience as a speech therapistKnowledge and ability to perform a speech pathology assessment and evaluationKnowledge of principles, concepts, diagnostic, and therapeutic techniques for speech therapyAbility to implement practical application of knowledgeAbility to function independently and autonomouslyAbility to communicate in writing and verbally in EnglishAbility to teach and instruct patient, family, and staff

Preferred Qualifications: 

6 months to one year home health experience preferred
