Sign on bonus $300.00 Description of the role: Speech Therapists play a crucial role in improving the communication skills and quality of life for our senior clients on the island of O'ahu. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in elderly individuals. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions. Responsibilities: * Evaluates the patient's level of functioning and recommends mechanisms to enhance the patient's hearing ability * Establishes a Speech Therapy treatment plan, in consultation with the physician, and revises it with the approval of the physician, as necessary  * Assists in development and implementation of the interdisciplinary patient care plan, as it pertains to Speech Therapy * Ensures that the physician's orders are appropriate and discusses necessary changes * Teaches, supervises, and counsels the family and patient in the total Speech Therapy program and other related problems of the patient at home * Evaluates the patient, his/her significant other(s), and the home situation to determine what instruction will be required, what assistance will be available for the family in caring for the patient, and what other agency and community services will be required Requirements: * Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology * Valid license to practice speech therapy in the state of Hawaii * Prior experience in speech therapy, preferably with the elderly population * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Benefits: * Competitive compensation ranging from $75 to $85 per hour * Flexible work schedule About the Company: Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu is a leading provider of in-home care services for seniors in Honolulu, Hawaii.
