This position supports the US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Ground Combat Systems (GCS), Self Propelled Howitzer Systems (SPHS) Program. This position is partial telework, primarily on location at Anniston Army Depot in Alabama and periodically working from home. This position is full time, 40 hours per week.

Job Description
The SPHS Production Support Specialist will provide support on-site at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) to the US Army’s Self Propelled Howitzer Systems (SPHS) Program on behalf of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).
Duties/Responsibilities
Track the day-to-day status of parts and assemblies for the Paladin Family of Vehicles (FoV) at ANAD including\: Potential Government Furnished Material (GFM) line stoppers. Critical shortage parts. Shortages identified during field inspections, vehicle disassembly, and repair processes. Assembly shortages and/or issues. Additional items as requested by the SPHS PM. Provide accurate and timely reports and status to the SPHS PM at PEO GCS headquarters in Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. These reports shall include\: Status of requisitions for part shortages shipped to and from vendors in support of production programs at ANAD and BAE Systems. Status of assemblies shipped to and from vendors for repair and/or upgrade in support of production programs at ANAD and BAE Systems. Additional information as requested by the SPHS PM. Facilitate resolution of integration, schedule, quality, manufacturing, and production program management issues between ANAD, PM SPHS, Government Item Managers, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Service Supply Activities, and BAE Systems. Interface and work well with government personnel from PM SPHS, ANAD, DLA, other government organizations, as well as BAE Systems and any relevant contractors. Tactfully present controversial information to stakeholders. Provide support for visitors to ANAD from PM SPHS, BAE Systems, Government Item Managers, and others. Visitor support will include providing knowledge and expertise on the Paladin FoV programs at ANAD. Work closely with and provide back-up support as needed to the Amentum Specialist on site at BAE Systems Vehicle Upgrade and Overhaul Center (VUOC) in Anniston, AL in support of PM SPHS programs. Be physically capable of walking around sites across Anniston Army Depot for job duties including visually inspecting vehicles and climbing on the vehicles when needed. · High school diploma.
· Minimum 15 years specialized experience in working with/on tracked or wheeled ground combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity, working directly with PM offices, and working onsite at military installations.
· Secret security clearance.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications\:
· Detailed knowledge and experience with the Paladin Family of Vehicles (FoV) is preferred.
Additional Position Details\:
· This position is contingent on funding. Funding is expected in December 2024 or January 2025.
· The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
This position requires significant walking around on sites across Anniston Army Depot and climbing on military vehicles when needed for visual inspections.Travel
Travel to and from customer's locations will be required to support projects. Travel is approximately 10%. This will involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can be made for POV. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, seat belts must be worn, and no cellular devices are to be used when the vehicle is in motion.

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (40%-90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.
Work Environment
Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%). Position is partial telework. Primarily on site AND a periodically teleworking from home, at the discretion of Amentum and Government leadership.
Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.
Attendance
Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).

Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
