Description This is on the Monitoring Tools Engineering team and this resource will support bank wide monitoring efforts. This is on the Development side – they have an engineering team that helps but this resource will be expected to deploy tools, gather requirements, create dashboards, handle incident requests and troubleshooting efforts. A good knowledge of the following would also be beneficial: Dynatrace , Splunk Enterprise including the deployment, instrumentation and leveraging of the tool for analytical and alerting capabilities- Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as – Tivoli, Microfocus BPM, Sitescope, Dynatrace, Catchpoint etc. - Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc. - Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET) - Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring - Proven experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.) - Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes - An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role - A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual with strong leadership skills - A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality Skills Splunk, Security, Splunk enterprise, Dashboard, Scripting Additional Skills & Qualifications Tools engineers are needed to further enhance the current level of monitoring and operational procedures. Resources would be responsible for making sure monitoring tools are installed and configured with correct thresholds/alerts and dashboards. Not having the resources would mean that we would not hit the enterprise goals of improving Mean Time To Repair incident (MTTR) and we would not be able to effectively predict defects from going live into production. Looking for an experienced Monitoring Tools Engineer to join the CD APS Monitoring team. Technical expert for specific core monitoring tools and work directly with our application production support and application development partners to ensure the proper installation, setting of thresholds and dashboard configuration. You'll be working with industry-leading products, you will experience how you can be a game-changer, enabling applications to have less downtime than ever before. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
