Work you'll do We are looking for an experienced Splunk Developer to build and deliver an innovative, game changing platform that developers love to use. Responsibilities include: Splunk ITSI Implementation and Management: Design and implement service models within Splunk ITSI to represent IT components and service dependencies. Configure and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor service health and performance. Develop and maintain glass tables to visualize service health and performance. Set up and manage alerting rules and notable events for timely issue detection and response. Continuously monitor IT services' health and performance, taking proactive measures to address potential issues. Dashboard and Glass Table Development Using SPL: Design and develop interactive and dynamic dashboards using Splunk Programming Language (SPL) to visualize data and provide actionable insights. Optimize SPL queries for performance and efficiency, ensuring fast and accurate data retrieval. Choose appropriate visualization types based on data and insights needed, ensuring clear and effective communication. Monitor and optimize dashboard performance for quick load times and responsiveness. Train end-users on effectively using and interpreting dashboards and glass tables. Implementation and Management of Splunk Add-On Products: Install and configure Splunk Add-On products for various infrastructure layers, including compute, network, and storage platforms. Set up data collection and parsing for different platforms using appropriate Splunk Add-Ons, ensuring accurate and consistent data ingestion. Manage the indexing and storage of collected data in Splunk for efficient search and retrieval. Develop custom dashboards and reports to visualize data from different infrastructure platforms and provide insights into their performance and health. Integration with ServiceNow and Other Monitoring Platforms: Implement and manage Splunk integration with ServiceNow, including data collection, incident creation, and workflow automation. Develop and maintain custom scripts and API integrations to collect and forward data between Splunk and other monitoring platforms such as OP5 and Nagios. Ensure consistent data formats and field names across different monitoring platforms for accurate correlation and analysis. Achieve a unified view of the IT environment by correlating data from multiple monitoring tools in Splunk. Enhance incident response capabilities by leveraging Splunk's advanced analytics and integrating with ServiceNow and other platforms. General Responsibilities: + Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implementations, configurations, and integrations. + Collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and other departments to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. + Stay updated with the latest Splunk features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve monitoring and management processes. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk ITSI, dashboards, Add-Ons, and integrations promptly. + Ensure all implementations and integrations adhere to security and compliance standards. Skills and Qualifications: + Strong knowledge of Splunk ITSI, SPL, and Splunk Add-On products. + Proven experience in integrating Splunk with ServiceNow and other monitoring platforms. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective monitoring solutions. + Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and train end-users. + Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation. + Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in the field. Qualifications Required + Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. + Minimum of 6 years of experience working with Splunk ITSI and SPL.
