Summary This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Marketing Office located in Joint Base San Antonio, TX. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. May work up to 34 hrs./wk. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to manage and execute the publicity program for JBSA-Randolph activities and to manage the staffing and execution of sponsorship and advertising agreements. Researches potential sponsors/advertisers and provides data to Sponsorship Coordinators. Reviews applicable regulations and directives to determine appropriate actions to take or recommend. Prepares commercial sponsorship and advertising contracts, assembles all contract requirements and staffs the sponsorship/advertiser packages to approval signature. Maintains individual files on all sponsors/advertisers and the tracking spreadsheets to ensure al! required staffing and coordination is accomplished for all agreements. Ensures all payment for sponsorship/advertising is received prior to the execution of the contracts. Gathers, monitors, and maintains data to input into the automated system and completes reports about sponsorship/advertising and responds to all inquiries. Helps develop the marketing plan to ensure adequate recognition of all sponsors/advertisers and ensures all aspects of the contracts are complied with. Assists with the development of marketing strategies, event publicity and promotions, and customer engagement strategies Serves as the Marketing and Publicity branch focal point for collection and dissemination of Force Support Squadron program information. Conducts briefings, prepares slides and handout materials for presentations. Acts as ambassador for FSS; research new avenues for sharing information about FSS programs and events and establishes new lines of communication with the untapped resources. Ensures signage and other posted media within FSS activities are compliant with FSS leadership guidelines and standards. Proofs all work orders prior to completion. Responsible for distribution of JBSA magazines and all publicity to all FSS activities and mission partners. Acts as the focal point for promotion of current events and customer service. Qualifying Experience: Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Experience with the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, commercial sponsorship and advertising, military recreation and morale, welfare, and recreation business operations is highly desirable. Experience with Air Force Regulations concerning Force Support activities; their operation and the impact sponsorship and advertising would have on the organization is also highly desirable. Must have experience in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and complete all required staffing paperwork. Must have experience in working under timelines and rigid deadlines and with working with various types of managers, public affairs, and media personnel. Experience with Adobe applications (In-design, Photoshop. etc.) and Associate Press Writing Guidelines is desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 2. Experience with the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, commercial sponsorship and advertising, military recreation and morale, welfare, and recreation business operations. 3. Experience with Air Force Regulations concerning Force Support activities operation, sponsorship and advertising. 4. Experience in written and oral communication techniques. 5. Experience in working under timelines and rigid deadlines and working with various types of managers, public affairs, and media personnel. 6.
