The Sports Performance Coach is responsible for contributing to developing Sports Performance programming for youth athletes, adult clients, and sport rehab clients. **A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 8:00am-8:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Participates in planning, developing, and coaching sports performance programs. + Wellness Center Sports Performance programs include youth athlete training (grades 6-12), adult strength and conditioning training, and athletes in return to sport program. + Responsible for creating, running, and overseeing year-round High School Strength and Conditioning program for all athletes and sports at local high school. Includes coordination with coaches and athletic department staff for scheduling, programing, and safety procedures. + Follows system and department policies and procedures at all work locations including policies and procedures specific to coaching at the high school location. Special attention is to be paid to scheduling, punctuality, confidentiality, safety, and strong communication. + Follow mission statement of the Sports Performance Program. Mission Statement reads: The mission of the entire Sports Performance Training Program is to help each member reach their personal, fitness, and/or athletic goals through strength and conditioning training in a positive and progressive environment. + Assist in maintaining current client membership and reaching monthly client membership goals within Sports Performance programs by providing a positive, valuable, and consistent training experience for each member. + Communicate effectively and often with Sports Performance supervisor and staff about client progress, programing, safety etc. + Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. + Maintains applicable certification/licensure. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's degree + Maintain current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) + OR Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the College Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) OR CPR / first aid certification. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + 2+ years of experience within a Strength and Conditioning environment at the high school or college level. + Group training experience at the youth and adult level + Strong knowledge of safe programming principles and exercise progression for youth or beginner athletes Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
