Job Description

Our client provides infrastructure-related products and solutions with leading brands serving the construction, engineered structures, and transportation markets. They have a distribution center in SATX where tanks and other oversized products/materials come through. They are looking to hire a Spotter who supports forklift drivers, ensures loads are safely loaded onto trailers, throws straps around tanks, places foam under tanks to prevent scraping, secures loads, and team-lifts metal brackets weighing 40-90lbs. This person will receive training in different areas, including forklift operation, warehouse tasks, and OSHA regulations.

ResponsibilitiesSupport forklift drivers in loading and unloading tasks.Ensure loads are safely loaded onto trailers.Throw straps around tanks and place foam under tanks to prevent damage.Secure loads properly.Team-lift metal brackets for tanks (40-90lbs).Receive training in forklift operation, warehouse tasks, and OSHA regulations.Essential SkillsAbility to work outdoors.Capable of team-lifting brackets weighing 40-90lbs.Organized and flexible.Experience in labor work.Interest in growing with the company and learning new skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsEntry-level position suitable for someone with minimal experience.Desire to develop into an expert-level forklift driver through in-house training.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role involves working outdoors with a team of roughly 15 people. The shift is from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays and some weekdays. The attire includes jeans, steel-toe boots, and a t-shirt. Employees get two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00
