The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), which oversees over $2 billion in capital programs and projects, is responsible for capital planning, project delivery, property management, and real estate services for the Commonwealth. DCAMM Office of Planning
The Office of Planning is the strategic long-term planning and development office within DCAMM. We initiate and manage all pre-design activities for state building projects and public development initiatives. In fulfilling this function, the Planning team works closely with the institutional leadership of our client agencies, officials, stakeholder groups, and collaborative partners to prepare architectural programs, master plans, capital development plans, feasibility studies, and financial proposals.
Intern Responsibilities
· Assist Project Managers in management of planning, design, and implementation of projects of various scales and detail
· Develop graphics, presentations, digital 3D models, and illustrations to communicate data analysis, planning strategies, and design concepts to aid in decision-making
· Attend site visits and meetings with Project Managers, design team members, and Client Agency representatives. Take detailed notes and prepare meeting minutes.
Preferred Qualifications
· A good listener with a strong interest in public service
· Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills
· Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with Project Managers across different project teams
· Required Software Skills:Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
· Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Lt and modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or VRay
· Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
· Adept with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Outlook, Teams)
