Spring Operations IT Support Co-Op (January Start)

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Co-op/Intern to join our IT team at our largest manufacturing plant here in Elyria, OH. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, technical, and will be comfortable working on the shop floor, interacting directly with shop floor personnel. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with local IT team, our Digital Operations team, and the shop floor to enhance our manufacturing processes through IT solutions related to machine monitoring and digital interfaces.
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Investigate and Troubleshoot: Proactively address hardware and network issues on the shop floor, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.Engage with Shop Floor Personnel: Regularly communicate with machine operators, technicians, and other shop floor staff to understand IT challenges and capture feedback.Collaborate with Digital Operations: Work closely with the Digital Operations team to understand and implement digital solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency.Support Local IT Initiatives: Assist the local IT team in various projects, ranging from equipment setup to software updates, ensuring alignment with plant operations.Documentation: Maintain and update IT documentation, ensuring that any changes or updates to hardware or software are accurately recorded.

  For This Role, You Will Need:Currently enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree program.Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking, and software.Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
