Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $50.00-60.00/hour

Job Summary:
As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of components and systems provided by suppliers, playing a critical role in achieving customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This role involves assessing, developing, and improving supplier quality processes, ensuring compliance with Client standards and customer requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supplier Assessment and Development: Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualifications to evaluate their capacity, technical capabilities, and compliance with Client standards. Lead first-piece qualifications, design reviews, and special process audits.
* Quality Improvement: Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans. Participate in supplier performance reviews, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Project Support: Provide technical support for project fulfillment, including major equipment and Balance of Plant (BOP) components. Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and sourcing teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
* Risk Management: Identify and assess technical risks in supplier processes and products, develop mitigation strategies, and lead root cause analysis for supplier-related non-conformances.
* Process Development: Develop and maintain execution processes and work instructions, adhering to ISO procedures. Facilitate project kickoff meetings, schedule reviews, and team updates.
* Quality Assurance: Enforce and improve quality procedures, ensuring compliance with Client"s quality management system. Review end-of-manufacturing reports and authorize shipments upon meeting requirements.
* Cost Management: Monitor and control engineering and parts costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with budget allocations.
Required Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Experience: At least 10 years in project management and supplier quality engineering, with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Proven ability to lead projects from inception to delivery. Experience with GE systems and tools preferred.
* Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of gas/steam turbines, generators, and Balance of Plant (BOP).
* Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in quality management systems and tools. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
* Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with ISO quality standards and procedures.
* Certification in quality management or related fields (e.g., Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP)).
* Previous GE experience, including supplier audits and quality improvement plans.
