Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain Microsoft SQL Server in multiple environments, including: production, training, demo, test, and development
Monitor, benchmark, and improve database performance
Create, maintain, and implement a database disaster recovery plan
Manage database security and permissions
Perform capacity planning.
Manage database indexes.
Manage replication and log shipping process.
Create and administer a set of best practices to ensure stable, efficient, and secure databases to support a suite of customer applications.
Support developers by recommending best practices for database schema design and provide assistance with performance tuning of stored procedures.
Create and maintain an ETL process and data warehouse build
Generate Ad hoc reports for internal resources.
Prioritize and manage external support inquires.
Provide project level reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements analysis and thoughtful database design in either a data warehouse or OLTP environment.
TSQL development proficiency.
SSIS, SSRS or SSAS development as appropriate for the solution.
Expert SQL Server 2008/2012 development skills with emphasis on development of Transact SQL procedures, functions.
Required Technical Skills:
SQL Administration in both physical and virtual environments
Setup, configuration, and management of Log Shipping and Replication
Monitoring and benchmarking
Writing, analyzing, and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views
A minimum of 1 year experience with Windows Azure.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience with WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, networking.
Azure Cloud Architect will provide cost analysis for websites, virtual machines, storage, cloud services, data management.
Use Azure full calculator to provide cost analysis for web sites, virtual machines, storage, cloud services, data management, and price comparison with AWS in same configuration.
Will provide system logical view, network diagram with multi-tier architecture.
Provide solution in patch management for OS, COTS, etc.
Deliver above design and system configuration detail info to Project Team with support documents and Q and A sessions.
Azure Cloud Admin will deal with Cloud Administration tasks such as creating Affinity Group, Storage Accounts, Cloud Services, VPN, DNS server and VPN connectivity.
Be able to set up site to site VPN connection between client data center and Azure cloud.
Build MS SQL Server and create SQL database in data tier.
Set up Geo-Replication.
Provide maintenance support (weekly patch install, start/shut down VM servers, services, install COTS).
Document end-to-end system configuration, setup, baseline configuration in detail.
Experience with Microsoft technologies, focusing on the latest versions of System Center, Windows Server Technology, Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory, and PowerShell a plus.
Database Developer - Database Development, TSQL, SSIS.
Desired Technical Skills:
SQL upgrade experience.
Database modeling and design including ERDs for both OLTP and OLAP.
ETL process design and construction
Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
Microsoft Azure SQL Databases - PaaS and/or IaaS.
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
SQL Server Clustering.
SQL Server Mirroring.

Support of third party reporting tools such as Crystal and Exago.
