Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to develop high-quality database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL databases, running queries, and building ETL packages. This role involves using T-SQL to develop and implement procedures and functions, as well as reviewing and interpreting ongoing business report requirements.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-quality database solutions.Use T-SQL to develop and implement procedures and functions.Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.Research required data.Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.Suggest new queries.Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.Provide timely scheduled management reporting.Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements.Essential SkillsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree.Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server.Good knowledge of Python, Java, VB.Net, C, HTML, and JavaScript.Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).Familiarity with the practical application of NoSQL/NewSQL databases.Critical thinker and a team player.Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.Great interpersonal and communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of experience is preferred.Industrial and Manufacturing Experience.Python scripting experience.SQL Database experience.PLC Programming (ignition SCADA programming).Industrial networking experience.Bootcamp certification, Associate's or Bachelor's degree.ETL Pipelines - building out pipelines/packages.Customer interfacing skills.Reporting/building dashboards.Work Environment

Onsite in Easley, SC, supporting a client in Asheville, NC. The work involves automation turn-key integration, providing equipment for automotive and aerospace industries. The candidate will work at the Easley, SC site and collaborate with another DBA in Canada. The environment is laid-back and stress-free, yet high expectations for results are maintained. There is no onsite Project Manager, so team members need to keep the PMs updated on project status. Dress code is business casual.
