Description:
Responsible for the architecture, design, build and deployment of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure, ERP systems, information systems and internet technologies. Work with development teams, Systems Engineers, and business unit stakeholders to determine needs and functional specifications. Design integrations and communications between enterprise systems. May lead initiatives to redesign or enhance enterprise infrastructure. 7-10 years of experience in a Systems Engineer with progressive responsibilities or Architect role is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain MS-SQL Server database environment supporting client-oriented data production Drive evolution of database environment including all necessary jobs, packages, scripts, and processes Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to production analysts, vendors and solution developers. Review market available technical solutions and advise team on how it could be adopted Will ensure the clients data structure, data flows, business processes, features, and usability are all best practice and will liaise with internal technical teams to ensure that all enhancements and document solutions are robust and consistent with best practice. Lead and participate in database design review sessions, technical specifications and solution design. Design and implement broad automation of current deliverables Work with the Operations team and the reporting business analyst to implement solid, extensible warehouse models that supports new analytics requirements. Will work towards expanding the technical framework including and not limited to Data Warehousing, Big Data implementations, Application and Database development Sustained focus on improving performance, scalability and stability of large databases You will have the opportunity to write and review Stored Procedures and Functions in SQL Server in support of existing/new application infrastructure. Job might sometimes require administration of SQL Server Databases.REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 8 to 10 years of professional experience (Preferably in Information technology)4+ years of Relational Database Development or Data Modeling experience (Preferably with SQL Server 2012 and after)Analytics software exposure- SAS, R, Alteryx, Tableau would be good (although no hands-on knowledge is needed)Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practicesExperience using Windows/DOS scripting to execute scheduled tasksSignificant experience in application development, website and big data architectures. Knowledge of servers and configurations for specific needs.Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required .Proven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's degree in a technical field (such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering) Must be able to quickly understand business logic and be able to translate into technical implementation Experience and familiarity with web-based applications or Experience with Object Oriented application frameworks is a plus (.Net)Ability to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment on really interesting problems - Must be able to use sound judgment to develop effective solutions from loosely stated requirements.
