U-Haul is seeking a Database Administrator to join the Repair Management team as an Associate Database Administrator and Windows server Administrator. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude. Additionally, they will have experience working with Microsoft SQL and failover clustering.
Duties:
+ Managing SQL Server & Database access
+ Monitor and respond to SQL server performance degradation
+ Make optimization recommendations to SQL queries
+ Troubleshoot issues with applications connecting to SQL databases
+ Perform SQL server and database maintenance
+ Monitor database backups
+ Respond to capacity issues on database servers
+ Perform SQL upgrades
+ Improve existing monitors and develop new alerts
+ Mentor other members of the team
Preferred Requirements/Education:
+ 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL 2016 or newer. Duties could include those listed above
+ 2+ years of Windows Server experience. Duties could include patching, managing access, troubleshooting performance, etc.
+ A computer technology degree or equivalent work experience required
+ Experience with Azure, C Sharp, Oracle and Databricks preferred
