SQS/QA Specialist - Anchorage, AK
**Job Description** The Supplier Quality Surveillance / Quality Assurance (SQS/QA) Specialist will monitor quality of operational processes and suppliers work processes. All assessment activities will be coordinated and managed through collaboration with the client Quality Team, Procurement, and Engineering.This position will require an experienced Quality Assurance individual with background in engineering, supplier, and construction quality. **_*This position is eligible for the NANA Worley employee referral program, available only to current NANA Worley employees*_** **Responsibilities** + Facilitate communication between suppliers, engineering, procurement, document control and quality departments. + Manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided (to relevant parties) when schedule conflicts arise. + Ensure HSE considerations are applied, where appropriate, in the Procurement / SQS process. + Ensure best practice, continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned are commonly shared amongst the team members. + Attend client meetings as a key member of the project or program management team. + Ensure adequacy of technical review of supplier data submissions typically including WPS/PQRs, quality plans, process procedures, and personnel qualifications. + Review final supplier documentation (Inspection records, as-built drawings, NDE reports, Hydrotest reports, and welding plans) for conformance to project specifications and standards. + Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with specifications and regulations + Conduct or participates in project level quality audits and assessments where necessary + Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with specifications and regulations. + Compliance with company policies and procedures relating to quality inspection + Support SQS team as needed + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Degree / Certifications in Quality, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Preferred). + Minimum ten (10) of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role in the Oil and Gas Construction Industry required + Deep understanding and knowledge of industry codes related to materials and welding including ASTM, AWS, ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, NACE, + Level III Certifications, API certs, NACE, and or Engineering Degree (preferred) + Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (Preferred) + Electrical / Instrumentation experience **Language Skills:** Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals and reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, Inspectors, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management and client. **Mathematical Skills:** Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. **Reasoning Ability:** Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to read and interpret engineering and design drawings. **Computer Skills:** Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, word processing software; Excel spreadsheet software; Outlook e-mail software; and any other discipline-specific design or analysis software, as required. **Certificates and Licenses:** Listed on the Level Classification page, if applicable. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** No supervisory responsibilities, works independently but reports into the Procurement Group for client / contractual reporting. Works collaboratively with Engineering, Project Management and Quality. **Language Ability:** Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
