Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to prepare financial statements for internal and external users; collect and analyze financial data ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines.
Perform general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedulesPrepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principlesProvide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budgetAnalyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reportsConduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projectsResearch accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding company policyMay coach, lead or direct others’ workPerform special projects as assignedModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedThe following additional duty may also be required:

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferredMinimum four years’ experience in accounting or related area requiredSpecialized Knowledge
Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsFamiliarity with Lawson or general ledger (GL) accounting software preferredKnowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and tax laws preferredCompetencies
