**Job Summary**
The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting primarily has responsibility for the general ledger and financial reporting tasks, inclusive of the consolidations function. The individual in this role is required to have in-depth accounting knowledge at the corporate level, extensive experience with SAP, and the ability to solve complex accounting issues. This position regularly interacts with other corporate departments.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ * Active/Integral member of the Finance team focused on driving standardization, simplification and process improvements* Coordinate the global consolidation process, working closely with our individual legal entity contacts* Perform month- end closing activities, inclusive of month-end reports, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and required items to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to defined standards* Interact with cross-functional teams that include controllership, financial planning and analysis, operations, treasury, tax, investor relations, legal, human resources, internal and external audit, and others, as necessary* Work closely with our IT function, leveraging past experiences to enhance our Corporate close process and streamlining our monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities* Analyze corporate department spending variances and assist in the Corporate budgeting process* Perform administration of Blackline reconciliation and task management tools* Facilitate monthly and quarterly reporting needs* Support audit requests* Improves internal controls and ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley* Safeguards confidential information* Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules* Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs
**Additional Responsibilities**
**Education**
+ Bachelor's Degree BachelorÂs degree in Accounting or Finance required
**Work Experience**
+ Minimum 5 years Candidate requires private industry experience in multinational manufacturing companies; experience in consolidation role preferred required
**Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley 404
+ Experience with SAP required and HFM preferred
+ Strong knowledge of and ability to learn and apply technical accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize conclusions and make recommendations to management
+ Unquestioned integrity, moral character, ethics and values - one whom an organization can trust without reservation
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate issues
**License and Certifications**
+ Finance and Accounting\Certified Public Accountant (CPA) active CPA license required required
**Travel Requirements**
5%: Up to 13 business days per year
**Physical Requirements**
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

+ Position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May need to stand or sit for extended periods of time
