Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in San Jose. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a Senior Accountant , the candidate will be reporting to the Dir Accounting and is a Full Time position. We are a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization where you can make a difference to our business by using your experience in accounting, analysis, compliance, and reporting. This position requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, sophisticated month-end close experience, and motivation to contribute to a constantly evolving business.
Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.
Responsibilities In charge of general ledger. Good knowledge of cash, investment, prepaid, fixed asset, accruals, lease accounting, intercompany accounting and international accounting. Assist in the day-to-day activities of the accounting department and support the Accounting Manager. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in the month-end close process. Prepare consolidation. Prepare flux analysis. Preparation of audit and tax PBCs, and work effectively with external auditors. Oversight of accounting performed by shared service center. Maintain ERP system for financial reporting, chart of accounts and cross validation rules. Annual fixed asset physical count. Sales tax compliance, property tax filing, government survey and the related audits. Own and operate designated SOX controls. Look for opportunities to optimize and automate existing processes. Work in a highly collaborative environment and work directly with teams throughout the Finance organization (including FP&A, Technical Accounting, Revenue and Tax), as well as other business stakeholders (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, IT, HR) Assist in ad-hoc projects Qualifications BA/BS with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field 5 years’ experience in mid-to-large-sized tech or high-growth company (experience in public accounting a plus) CPA preferred. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Strong understanding of financial statements and analytical skills D365 ERP, Power BI experience ideal. Strong Excel skills with an interest and aptitude for working with large amounts of data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to work with a high sense of urgency while maintaining outstanding attention to detail. Has a proactive approach and can multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in an evolving environment. Capable of prioritizing conflicting responsibilities and independently driving toward deadlines.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $83,300.00 to $154,700.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
