Major Activities
Assign tax group to new sales products in applicable systems.Administer the Vertex system, including custom tax rules and transaction testing.Maintain department reference files for tax rates and rules.Monitor changes in taxability, tax rates, and tax area ID coding.Maintain store POS tax rate tables and monitor related activity reports.Maintain financial systems for sales and use tax, including Vertex and Oracle.Research tax regulations for items purchased by the company and sold in stores or purchased for company use and ensure company compliance.Special projects, including system implementations, compliance research, and customer support.Work with internal and external stakeholders on sales & use tax audits, including information gathering, research, preparing/reviewing work papers, determining reserve, and closing of the audit.Assist staff with exemption certificate inquiries as needed.Other duties as assigned.

5+ years of experience in U.S. multistate sales and use tax.Other
