Sr Accounts Payable Analyst
Description

Position Overview: Victaulic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Administrator. This role requires a professional with broad experience in AP operations and a strong understanding of financial controls. As a senior member of the Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for mentoring junior staff, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, and ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of all accounts payable activities. This position is ideal for an experienced individual ready to contribute to a high-functioning team in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:Invoice Processing and Payment Management: Process high volumes of multi-currency vendor invoices (300/week on average), ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures for invoice handlingEnsure payments are executed within defined payment terms, taking advantage of early payment discountsHandle escalated vendor issues and internal exceptions, maintaining positive relationships.Process Optimization and Best Practices: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist with the optmizing the AP function, leveraging automation where possible.Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial audits by providing detailed reports and supporting documentation.Team Development and Mentorship: Mentor and train junior accounts payable staff, fostering a high-performance culture and developing their technical and professional skills.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.  Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering company.Technical Proficiency:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and AP automation tools.Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statement preparation.Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganizational Skills: Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects efficiently.Adaptability: Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Key Competencies: Strategic thinker with the ability to implement solutions that align with company goals.Proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable with a commitment to high standards.Team player who fosters a collaborative work environment and motivates others to excel.
