JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.
* Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature)
* Responsible for utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards;
* Responsible for performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time
* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
* 8+ years of job-related experience OR
* Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
* Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
* Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
* Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes
* Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals
* Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
* Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards;
* Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
