Sr Advanced Application Engineer

Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex application functions in the within Honeywell Aerospace organization. You will participate in the development and certification of product functionality across multiple programs. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards or operational plans within the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business unit/function overall results.
Key Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role will be to support Aerospace Business Managed Application Lifecycle Management tooling such as Serena Dimensions.
This entails interfacing closely with all Aero teams to support tooling requests, ensuring business requirements are implemented and provide hands-on support to users globally for the application.
This role also includes maintenance, vulnerability patching, tech debt remediation and incident management support of the application.
You may also design, develop and implement Software Configuration Status Accounting Scripts and Utilities for various SCM tools.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
MUST HAVE
5+ years of experience in either IT, Software Engineering or Software Configuration Management
5+ years of experience in Tool Development or Support
Familiarity with Server OS (Redhat Linux, Windows) and Virtualization Technologies
WE VALUE
Administrative/configuration experience with change and version management tools including but not limited to Serena Dimensions, IBM ELM, and Atlassian Jira+Bitbucket.
Familiarity with JAVA, JavaScript and Web Development
Familiarity with SQL & Oracle
Familiarity in scripting languages such as Perl, Python and/or Powershell
Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Office 365 toolset, and adept at learning and utilizing new tools and techniques
Proven ability to understand business needs and problems and then to independently develop and execute a plan of work to develop and implement sustainable solutions
Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels
Ability to analyze data and create insights around tools/features to make informed decisions related to upgrades and enhancements
Flexible and open, ability to adapt to changing systems, processes and projects
