As a Sr Advanced Software Engineer within our (BA) Building\nAutomation business unit, specifically within the Fire Software team, you will\nbe a key contributor to the development of development, testing and automation of software solutions\nfor commercial fire safety and protection.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in product\ndesign, development, testing, and automation to create and enhance innovative\nfire safety solutions. Your focus will be on developing systems that ensure the\nhighest levels of safety, reliability, and functionality.
Key ResponsibilitiesIOT Solutions:Drive the integration of IoT technologies into fire safety software solutions, improving connectivity, functionality, and overall user experience. Deeper expertise on IOT protocalsProduct Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop cutting-edge fire safety software products. You will define product specifications and ensure that designs adhere to industry standards and customer requirements.System Test Automation:Develop and implement automated testing strategies to enhance product\nreliability and performance. Utilize software solutions and APIs to build\nefficient testing frameworks.Scale Handling:Design and optimize solutions that can effectively manage large-scale systems,\nensuring they are efficient and robust across diverse operational environments.Product Mindset: Maintain a customer-centric approach throughout the product lifecycle.\nContinuously innovate and iterate based on user feedback to enhance product\ncapabilities and responsiveness to market needs.Embedded Systems Knowledge: Apply your embedded systems knowledge to support product design and\ntroubleshooting, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software\ncomponents.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematicsA minimum of 6 years of experience in software product design, development, and automationStrong technical expertise in software solutions.Proficiency in system development, test automation and software development methodologies.Experience with API development and automation\nin the context of product testing and development.Solid\nunderstanding of IoT solutions and their applications.Demonstrated\nexperience in scaling systems effectively.WE VALUEA degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or\na related fieldPrevious\nexperience in a fast-paced software development environment will be highly\nadvantageous.Familiarity within building automation, fire safety or related domains is of valueExcellent\nproblem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.Strong analytical\nabilities and attention to detail.Effective\ncommunication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external\nstakeholders.BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL
