Sr Advisor, Global Mobility

What you will do:

Implement and execute global mobility programs, policies, and processes globally, ensuring compliance and alignment to business needs Review, analyze, and ensure global mobility programs are market competitive and cost-effective Act as key point of contact for Human Resources Business Partners and leaders on mobility requests/inquiries, assignment planning, and policy counseling Provide consultancy services, advice and collaborative support regarding the interpretation and execution of Nutrien’s global mobility policies and practices Work closely with program vendors, ensuring employee experience is top of mind and executed effectively and efficiently  Adheres to Global Mobility function budget; advises on and communicates budget guidance for business units on an annual basis Advises HR team and business on global mobility budget process and costs, ensuring visibility and awareness into program costs and drives a strong understanding of talent outcomes Supports quarterly foreign tax reconciliations, tax authorization lists, overall tax compliance of Nutrien’s assignees Collaborates with internal teams regarding relocation, immigration and tax programs and policies Ensure alignment between vendors, internal teams and global mobility programs and policies Create a positive employee experience for participants through all aspects of the employee’s relocation Provide expertise addressing inquiries related to Nutrien’s global mobility policies and procedures, and those from cross-functional partners  Manage end-to-end mobility cases, enhancing employee experience in line with Nutrien’s mobility policies and culture of care. Serve as the point of contact during transfers, secondments, immigration, and all global mobility related matters, fulfilling all legal and financial responsibilities Communicate and manage the mobility process, policy, and timeline, to participants and key stakeholders in accordance with Nutrien’s service level agreements Execute and support North American relocations through (GBO) Guaranteed Buyout and Buyer Value Option (BVO) programs Navigate multiple systems and software programs, including SAP/Oracle, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Advise on policy exception requests to HR and management for their consideration and response Oversee Global immigration activity, acting as a liaison between Nutrien’s immigration provider, HR Managers and the employees involved Mitigate reputational risk to the organization by ensuring compliance in all immigration casework Monitor immigration reports for expiry dates and visa extensions, initiating new cases, if and where necessary Liaises with Third Party Vendors as appropriate to support day to day work Continually evaluate operational efficiency and recommending process improvements Participate in ongoing training and external seminars to enable professional development

 

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or other similar degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and global mobility experience Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) and or Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) designation preferred 6+ year of experience in Canada, U.S. and global immigration/relocation administration, as well as 6+ years managing the full relocation cycle for employees at all levels of the organization 2+ years experience working with international payroll or tax issues as it relates to the global mobility function Knowledge and practical experience with Guaranteed Buyout (GBO) and Buyer Value Option (BVO)programs Knowledge of global immigration and taxation as it relates to relocation and business travelers Previous experience in global human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated self-motivation, analytical, problem-solving skills and initiative to achieve desired outcomes Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with multiple functions and with employees at all levels in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, team environment Solution-oriented with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers and team members Sensitivity to the needs of culturally diverse assignees and their families Ability to perform the role incorporating Nutrien’s values of integrity, safety, and a culture of care

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

 

Annual salary $90,400 - $124,300. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
