This position is located in Saskatoon, SK.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Procurement Systems, Source to Contract, the Senior Advisor, Procurement Systems Sustainment will be responsible for leading the implementation and ongoing sustainment of SAP Ariba Sourcing & Contract as well as Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP). This is a “hands-on” position, and the Senior Advisor is expected to provide continued detailed guidance to the BU procurement teams, and senior administration.
What you will do:
Work closely with Wholesale and Retail Stakeholders to build and sustain a best practice for Supplier Onboarding, Supplier Performance, Supplier Risk assessment, Sourcing, and Contracting in SAP Ariba. The focus will be on Ariba sourcing and contracting This role is expected to present and deliver continuous improvement insights and recommendations to managers and leaders Work with the Procurement Systems & Governance and Change Management teams to ensure that training material is up-to-date and effective Assist the Sr. Manager Procurement Systems, Source to Contract in developing & monitoring metrics that measure the adoption and value of procurement technology investments Assist the Sr. Manager Procurement Systems, Source to Contract in identifying improved efficiency opportunities, and working with IT to develop and implement said improvements Assist the Sr. Manager Procurement Systems, Source to Contract in ensuring goals alignment with Procurement and Finance Validate, from time to time, a list of users with assigned roles and Ariba user groups related to Sourcing and Contracts. Perform additional tasks as assigned and defined by the Sr. Manager Procurement Systems, Source to Contract Support the continued implementation and administration of procurement purchasing programs/systems, including SAP Ariba, Oracle, SAP ECC (ERP), SAP S4 Hana, and SAP MDG with a focus on the sourcing, contracting, supplier risk, and SLP modules of SAP Ariba Coordinate and care for improvement activities of SAP Ariba which will allow for improved efficiency in the current supplier registration, supplier risk evaluation, supplier performance administration, and sourcing and contracting process at Nutrien Perform regular evaluations and improvements to the strategic sourcing process by organizing working sessions with stakeholders to determine the most efficient use of our strategic sourcing resources such as Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, and Ariba SLP & Risk Perform regular evaluations and improvements to the contracting process by organizing working sessions with stakeholders to determine the most efficient use of our contracting resources such as Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, and Ariba SLP & Risk Provide user support through management and resolution of ServiceNow tickets created to address system issues or user assistance for Souring and Contracting Care for communication of process improvements and changes to Nutrien’s procurement systems technology Lead regular updates on enhancement communication and implementation in Ariba SLP, Ariba Risk, Contracting, and Sourcing through a network of BU site champions Assist the Procurement Systems Governance department in continued training and support of procurement end-users on new features and enhancements in SAP Ariba and other implemented technology Lead the SAP Ariba digitization of supplier administration strategies, supplier segmentation, and RFP optimization in line with the Procurement organization’s targets Work with the Sr. Manager Procurement Systems, Source to Contract to identify tools and templates needed for improved adoption and efficiency of Nutrien stakeholders as well as suppliers Develop and implement creative communication strategies, resources, and technologies to cultivate ease of procurement and choice-making on the ground, in the field at wholesale and retail operating sites Work closely with site team members to ensure a successful implementation of procurement best practices and organizational targets Function as an advocate for Procurement interests, working to drive the best outcomes for Nutrien
What you will bring:
Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree required, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Supply Chain Management preferred Certifications in SAP Ariba preferred 8+ years related experience Broad experience in the supply chain, procurement, category strategy, and supplier management processes and resources Travel as needed (at times internationally). Travel at times may exceed ~20% Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to develop the relationships and support necessary to bring the best-integrated systems solutions to the wholesale and retail sites Clear and exceptional understanding of, and practical experience with company supplier management, category plan, spend management (e.g., Ariba, Analysis & Reports), and enterprise resource planning systems and tools (SAP/Oracle) Experience with Procurement analytics Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and other MS Office applications High degree of ethics, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices to secure and maintain Nutrien’s reputation in the market
