Summary
SR Alliance Manager
Position Highlights:
This position is responsible for adding value to the organization by directing all the activities for assigned
alliances with industry partners. The overarching goals for this role are to increase long-term revenue as
well as enhance the performance of the organization in its execution of deliverables and materialization
of the value proposition to our partners and utilize discretion and independent judgement to implement
successful industry-academic business relationships. In addition to the operating activities required of an
alliance manager, this also includes: direction of activities across the complete alliance life cycle,
planning, allocating, and coordinating required resources, ensuring that the assigned alliances continue
to generate ongoing value. The person in this role will create synergy between two groups and enable
the partnership to be on the same goals. The Sr. Alliance Manager will engage internal and partner
leaders at all levels to maximally leverage assigned collaborations for both the company and its partners.
This person will lead the efforts to maintain the wellbeing of the partnership and keep participants goal
oriented.
Select Responsibilities:
Onboarding of new industry relationships: Internal orientation of PI (confirming internal team to manage deliverables, milestones, timelines, goals and obligations from Moffitt perspective); Leading joint kick-off meeting to ensure alignment between the parties on goals, objectives, stakeholders/responsible parties and timelines at an advanced levelWind-down of existing Industry relationships: Facilitate with timely submission of publications/presentations for joint review prior to external peer review according to contract obligations; Facilitate with timely reporting of new IP to the appropriate stakeholders internally according to contract obligations at an advanced level. Problem Solving: Effectively communicate with a broad-based team made up of other managers or staff members during the alliance implementation process with advanced proficiency and employ discretion, critical thinking skills, and independent judgement to propose solutions and action planning Project Management: Manage their time and resources efficiently while directing and motivating staff members; monitor payments and project costs; reporting KPIs to Moffitt stakeholders and leadership as needed with advanced proficiency. Conference Planning: Assist with organizing internal industry partnership development conferences at an advanced proficiency level. Contract Management: Initiate Contract Amendment, New Statements of Work, and Termination Letters/Agreements as needed for each relationship at an advanced level.
Credentials and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree within Life Sciences, drug development, business or related field is required. 5 years (project coordination, clinical development, product commercialization, project management or program management) OR in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, an associate degree plus an additional 2 years’ experience for a total of 7 years experience (project coordination, clinical development, product commercialization, project management or program management) may be considered.
