About the role
Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Sr. Analyst, Absence and Wellbeing role will support the Benefits team’s leave, disability and wellbeing processes, policies, and procedures that are vital to our North America employees’ health and wellbeing along with ensuring workforce continuity. This role will work closely with other members of the Total Rewards COE, Regional HR, site leaders and team members. The Analyst, Absence and Wellbeing will also support the Benefits team with administrative tasks.
Work Location: Morristown, NJ
Work schedule: Hybrid (3days in office 2 days from home)
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the day-to-day administration of Leave of Absence (LOA) programs for multi-state/province employees in the United States and Canada, which includes administration of Short-Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Paid Family Leave (PFL), Parental Leave, Military Leave, and Paid Time Off (PTO) while ensuring compliance with all state/provincial and federal laws.Responsible for assigned mailboxes as first point of contact (i.e., FMLA, Wellness) and provide timely responses to employee inquiries in partnership with vendors and/or internal departments.Liaise between employee, management, and insurance/leave management vendor to provide appropriate and required leave information as requested.Ensure absence data integrity in Time and Attendance and Workday systems.Process timecard and payroll adjustments related to leaves of absence.Support workplace accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.Facilitate the return-to-work process, including but not limited to, working with employee and leave administrator obtaining proper RTW release, and communicating official release to all parties.Weekly reconciliation of disability benefit payments and deductions, issuing overpayment letters, working with payroll on adjusting Paid-Time Off accruals, processing Military Leave pay.Maintain company leave policies and documents to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Also, assist Manager in the preparation of employee and management communication and training on leave policies and procedures.Assist in the coordination and communication of wellbeing events, workshops, and resources for employees. Assist in confirming the effectiveness of these programs by running basic reports on employee participation in benefits and wellness programs.Support the preparation of communication materials including the review and auditing of benefits guides, and the creation of monthly wellness circulars.Other duties as assigned including but not limited to:Respond to government and other agencies’ requestsOverall administrative support to Total Rewards DepartmentServe as backup to other members of the Benefits teamSupport ad-hoc projectsRequirements:
3+ years' experience in a Human Resources function (Required)Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields of study preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to deal effectively with employees, external vendors and carriersInterpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and secure cooperationExperience in administering health & welfare benefits, retirement plans, leaves of absence, and ancillary benefits.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present to groups.Strong attention to detailProficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of FMLA, ADAAA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and related regulations.Superior Customer Service skills preferred.Physical and Mental Requirements:
