Sr Analyst, Financial Analysis

The MRP&A/CCAR Finance Team within Corporate Finance is responsible for long term financial forecasting for the organization as it relates to strategic financial planning and the CCAR process.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will fulfill a critical role in both the execution of the multi-year strategic financial forecasting process and the CCAR process, while also contributing to the monthly/quarterly financial results reporting process, annual profit planning process, monthly/quarterly forecast process, analysis of assets under management and assets under custody, and various complex ad hoc requests to be determined by senior management. This position is designed to stretch a candidate’s skill set, reinforce their existing abilities, and create opportunities for them to grow their leadership, technical, and communication acumen.

Responsibilities include:

Serve as primary contributor in the execution process of MRPA CCAR and MRPA Strategic Financial Planning processes, fulfilling critical role as liaison between business unit finance groups, subject matter experts, and the MRP&A/CCAR team to ensure processes are executed correctly and on schedule.Lead CCAR working group meetings with partners from across the organization, evaluating projection results and obtaining feedback from subject matter experts to refine and improve projection outputs.Contribute to the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting process, preparing analyses of results relative to prior year, prior month, and/or Plan, focusing on key business factors driving financial performance.Participate in the analysis for and production of monthly/quarterly/annual presentation of results to the Board of Directors.Participate in the annual profit Planning process.Conduct and lead special projects and ad hoc requests to support the MRPA Group Manager, and other Senior Leaders.

Skills preferred:

Analytical and problem solving skills required to evaluate financial results and projections.Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary to present relevant information to senior management and business unit officers. Understanding of FactSet and TM1 financial platform preferred.Strong personal computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) are required to perform analyses and communicate financial informationKnowledge of accounting, reporting and financial analysis usually acquired through an advanced degree program or related work experience is required.

Experience:

5 to 8 years of related experience with emphasis on project analysis and management reporting, planning, and analysis.

Salary Range:

$83,100 - 141,300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
