Your role at BaxterThe Sr Analyst, Inventory Accounting is responsible for activities related to the various manufacturing sites in a region. The role requires understanding of sophisticated accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and tight-knit collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams. Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an outstanding basis, the role may require work on public holidays.

Your TeamResponsible for the record of entries, perform monthly accounting activities and prepare inventory and manufacturing reconciliations including the corresponding follow up.
Provide accounting services mainly related to Inventory processes. The person in charge of this position should be analytical and have initiative to tackle issues, as well as excellent communication, motivation and customer service skills. Strong attention to details, willingness to learn, ability to follow procedures in order to accomplish the main objectives of the area.
What you’ll be doingPrepare manual journals as needed with adequate supporting documentation and manufacturing variance analysis as needed.
Responsible for preparing reserves such as E&O, NRV etc. Complete account reconciliations in Blackline per established deadlines.
Respond to queries from local country finance in a timely manner.
Provide audit support as needed and support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysis.
Support monthly, quarterly, annual close processes and local, regional, and global projects, as the need arises.
Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls
Maintain focus on improvement in execution opportunities
What you’ll bringBachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience in part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA
Minimum of 5 years of meaningful professional experience.
Background in Manufacturing accounting and proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit
Proficient in both written and spoken English, B2+ or higher
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and US GAAP
Experience in JDE, Blackline, Alteryx and W-Desk is an advantage
