Sr Analyst - Corporate Accounting

The Senior Financial Analyst of Corporate Accounting will be responsible for: accounting for Wendy’s National Advertising Programs in the US and Canada; reconciling and settling intercompany accounts, providing support for various G&A departments within Wendy’s Dublin Restaurant Support Center; and accounting for all areas and transactions that the Corporate Accounting department is responsible for.  The position is required to prepare journal entries, analyze and reconcile accounts, and explain balance sheet movement and P&L variances as part of the monthly and quarterly closing and reporting processes.  This position will lead the annual audits of the National Advertising Programs; as well as provide audit support in conjunction with The Wendy’s Company external audit.

Responsibilities Significant focus on accounting matters related to preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for Wendy’s National Advertising Programs. Collaborate with Marketing Finance and marketing partners to ensure accurate monthly accruals. Provide guidance on accounting questions from marketing partners and Marketing Finance.  Prepares monthly and quarterly standard and miscellaneous journal entries, analyzes account activity, and prepares balance sheet reconciliations. Amortizes prepaids and prepares various corporate accruals including Marketing and various other G&A accruals.Prepares intercompany reconciliations and performs intercompany settlements monthly.  Collaborate with Treasury to ensure timing of payments and  availability of funds.  Provide guidance and help to other accounting departments with intercompany/settlement issues as needed.   Prepares audit schedules and reporting packages to be submitted quarterly or as needed to the auditors for the annual audit, to tax for the preparation of the Company’s tax return and financial reporting for appropriate disclosure in the Company’s financial statements.Identify, recommend and implement process improvements.  Effectively communicate across the organization to ensure information flows timely and accurately.  Provide support to various internal departments throughout the organization as well as external vendors.Perform special projects as assigned including ad hoc analysis and requests from management.

What we expect from you Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.CPA or on track to obtain CPA is preferred.A minimum of three to five years of accounting experience; public accounting and/or industry experience with SEC filer preferred. Strong excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups. The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.  This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. *  The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
