Your Role at Baxter

The Senior Analyst for Freight Audit and Pay is responsible for leading the implementation and support of the global Baxter solution for Freight Audit and Pay

What you'll be doing

Lead implementation activities for the global Baxter solution for Freight Audit and Pay:

Coordinate carrier onboarding activities with the solution provider and regional Baxter transportation teams

Contribute to the definition of requirements, design, and business rules (i.e. cost allocations, audit rules, and tolerances) as the Transportation SME

Identify and address potential process gaps, such as invoice match processes, cost allocation, and spot quotes.

Coordinate end-to-end tests with Baxter users for regional deployments

Monitor implementation and maintain accountability for solution updates and progress

Establish and lead the global team responsible for Freight Audit and Pay support activities:

Manage exceptions, including disputes resolution, match invoice gaps, and cost allocation errors

Review performance using freight audit and pay metrics, such as carrier performance and recoveries

Initiate continuous improvement initiatives to reduce exception rates and improve performance metrics

Coordinate new carrier onboarding

Maintain master data, including business rules for cost allocation and rate cards updates

Standardize the use of reporting data from the Freight Audit and Pay solutions across regions

Oversee the legacy Freight Audit and Pay solution and eventual transition

What you'll bring

Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of experience in a logistics role (operational and/or systems analyst)

Previous experience as System Analyst and/or Process SME with Freight Audit and Pay solution(s)

Excellent knowledge of the different transportation modes (OTR, Air, Ocean) and specific aspects related to rating and invoicing. 

Strong communication skills (with team, peers, external partners and upper management) 

Thinks strategically, innovates, and makes recommendations for improvement consistently

Analytical experience for solving complex problems with clear fact-based solutions

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to document, plan, market and execute projects

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Proven ability to work on cross-functional, multi-cultural teams

Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $88,000 - $121,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a long-term incentive .
