Job Overview Function Overview The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions. Link Purpose of the role A sound professional with supply chain expertise, mathematical skills, ability to manage data, who can analyze and develop solutions for inbound supply chain with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness in this area. The incumbent is expected to work in the capacity of an individual contributor in a challenging business environment. This virtual team caters to 30+ plants and several business teams / groups in the US. Key Accountabilities Raw Material Network Planning (70% of the time) · Identify replenishment process gaps, communicate to required business partners, and acquire information needed to eliminate gaps in material replenishment performance. · This individual would be expected to drive the development and execution of ordering strategies for raw materials across one specific Business units. · Manage inbound and outbound planning for raw materials through warehouse. Manage the age process for raw materials. Ensure all the operational challenges are resolved. · Collaborate with Sourcing buyers and brand planners to develop and implement order target quantity and get alignment from Sourcing and operating units. · Develop target quantities for raw materials and track the order quantities against the target quantity. · Provide RMWO risk assessment and recommendations to reduce write offs for specific operating units. · Manage and execute packaging transition, vendor transition, new product launch projects on a timely manner. · Develop RM tie out plans for packaging projects proactively and communicate the risk and mitigation plans to the operating units. · Work with Supply planners on production plans and call out risk from raw material standpoint. · Develop success metrics to track the benefits derived out of implementing Ordering strategies. · Utilize custom and ad hoc reporting functionality to report actual versus target material inventory levels; ensure process adherence and perform root cause gap analysis. · Resolve Vendor queries related to RM forecast, order consolidation, order changes, short lead orders. · Lead weekly/monthly calls with Suppliers on operational metrics. · Active participation in Brand execution meetings and provide decision making information to mitigate risk. · Business Results (10% of the Time) · Maintain optimum inventory levels & Safety stocks for all materials, to achieve optimal inventory target and maintain seamless service to the plants. · Identify new cost saving opportunities within inbound logistics network for a specific business unit. Continue Professional Career Development (10% of Time) · Participate in formal Logistics training. · Participate in Supply Chain Competencies Training · Develop Goals and Objectives for the Fiscal Year Organizational Effectiveness (10% of Time) · Mentor new team members. · Support junior team members in meetings with stakeholders. · Develop soft skills: Written & Verbal communication, Presentation & Interpersonal Effectiveness · Participate and lead in knowledge sharing sessions. · Lead any team initiatives that you may be asked to · Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility activities. · Identify collaboration opportunities within the sub team and team. · Impart functional / domain training to other team members and new members. Minimum Qualifications Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory). 2-3 years of related experience. SAP-ERP: R/3, Experience in SAP PP, MM or SCM module. Strong analytic ability to translate data into actionable information. Strong understanding of Supply Chain and inventory management concepts and tools Strong Excel skills (ie skilled at pivot table, charts, and graph creation) Ability to develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization. Ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments. Continuous improvement mindset Proactive and solution-oriented approach Critical thinking ability to understand granularity of the situation / problem. Self-management and time management skills. Effective communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills; ability to keep relevant stakeholders updated on progress to resolution.
