Your Impact

Under the supervision of a Pricing Manager, the Sr. Pricing Analyst will support developing pricing strategies, recommendations, and guardrails for all product categories in their merchandising division. The Sr. Pricing Analyst will use technical tools and methodologies such as elasticity and demand curve modeling to determine optimal price points, test & control methodologies to identify the most effective pricing strategies, rules-based pricing to drive automation and consistency, cluster analysis to identify trends across similar products and geographies, and financial impact analysis to evaluate pricing recommendations and decisions. The Sr. Pricing Analyst will work to support financial and business target achievement for their area, while also positioning themselves as a key partner within the Merchandising organization.

What You Will Do

Job Description: Senior Analyst

We are recruiting a senior analyst to join our Rapid Analytics for Pricing Insights and Decisions team within the pricing organization. Our team’s main customers are within Lowes: 1) pricing execution analysts and 2) the executive leadership team (VPs, SVPs, EVPs), and we serve them by providing automated reporting and completing interdisciplinary special projects that require analytical expertise.

A) Reporting and Automation

Automates and manages daily and weekly reporting using SQL, Python, Windows Task Scheduler, Virtual Machine (VM) and Tableau ServerDevelops and maintains reporting using SQL queries and data visualization tools such as Tableau (Desktop and Server) and ExcelTroubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to reporting outages, ensuring data integrity and reliabilityCollaborates with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and provide customer service

B) Special Projects

Leads and executes analytical special projects involving moderate to high complexityAnalyzes and interprets large datasets with high levels of ambiguityPresents findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner

Required Experiences and Skills

Strong customer service skills (active listening, empathy, adaptability, communication)Experience operating within ambiguityAbility to communicate complex data-driven insights to non-technical audiencesIntellectual curiosity and seeking the “why of why” behind surface level issuesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills for advanced technical problemsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulationProficiency with a data visualization software such as Tableau or PowerBIProficiency with Microsoft ExcelProficiency with an ETL tool such as Python, Alteryx, Knime, or RBachelor’s Degree


Required Qualifications
•Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field
•3 Years Experience in Pricing, Data Analytics, Finance, Omni-channel Retailing, or related pricing and promotion field. Experience working in crossfunctional teams, data elements or financial metrics analyzes
•3 Years Experience in Price Management, Merchandising, Financial Planning and Analysis, Store Operations, or Logistics. Experience as a Lead Merchant and/or Pricing Lead in an omni-channel retail environment. Experience working in crossfunctional teams, leadership with direct report responsibility, data elements or financial metrics analyzes

Preferred Qualifications
•2 Years Work closely with senior leadership (VP and above)
•Experience in Home Improvement Retail
•Experience working in an omnichannel environment
