As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of will apply your avionics HW and SW expertise, to integrate, analyze, test, and validate new generations of avionics hardware and software platforms for various spaceflight systems. In addition, you will need to be able to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with hardware and software engineers to integrate firmware with other system components. You will need to be able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. You will design, develop, build, and integrate electrical/avionics integration hardware, software, and interconnect solutions to support our avionic systems. You will communicate risks, issues, and solutions to peers with various technical backgrounds and areas of expertise. You will create technical documentation including problem assessment/analysis, test data evaluation, problem resolution reports, and acceptance tests. You will present and defend analyses and reports during peer-level reviews. In addition, you will perform data interpretation, assessment, and analysis of integrated electrical/avionics systems. At times you will be asked to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. You will work with suppliers for Avionics HW system procurement with support from Supply Chain. You will work closely with design engineers to get hardware tested and integrated as it comes back from manufacturing. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Responsibilities:
Own verification activities of avionics command and data handling components, including acceptance testing, qualification testing, bring-up and debug activities.Lead Test Readiness Reviews and team working sessionsLead and/or directly run test proceduresDesign, develop, build, and integrate electrical/avionics integration hardware, software, and interconnect solutions to support test activities.Support testing at the integrated assembly level in extreme environments of radiation, temperature, vibration, and EMI/EMC per MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 standards.Apply technical expertise to problem solving throughout product lifecycle, including concept, definition, design, verification (power-on, functional / acceptance / qualification testing) and release to production.Create technical documentation, including problem assessment/analysis, test data evaluation, resolution reports, and acceptance tests to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate informed decision-making.Support stakeholders with requirement definition, design reviews including test requirements and plans, procedures, schedules, etc.,Collaborate with avionics subsystems to identify current technology capabilities, challenges and develop solutions for continuous improvement.Perform data interpretation, assessment, and analysis of integrated electrical/avionics systems to drive continuous improvement and optimize system performance.Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, sharing knowledge and providing mentorship to facilitate their professional growth.Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.S. in electrical, computer engineering or related field.8+ years of relevant engineering experienceExperience leading and mentoring teamsLaboratory experience including ESD protocols, hardware handling, and rework documentationFamiliarity with avionics standards and guidelines, such as DO-178 and DO-254Experience using common laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, programmable loads, and general-purpose data acquisition systemsUnderstanding of digital, analog, and mixed-signal parts and their use, such as: CPUs, FPGAs, microcontrollers, ADCs, DACs, OpAmps, Power Supplies (LDOs, Linear, DC/DC), MOSFETs, LVDS, SPI, I2C, RS422/232, Ethernet, and PCIeDirect hands-on experience developing and testing complex electronics.Passion for hands-on problem solving and avionics integration and test.Ability to work independently on rapid development programs.Ability to travel to and work at remote sites for extended periods supporting test and hardware integration, commissioning, and training.Highly organized, safety and quality conscious, with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:

WA applicants is $167,088.00-$233,923.20Other site ranges may differ
