Job Description:

The Sr. Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering and advising employees and management on the interpretation of benefit policies, programs, and procedures. This individual is also responsible for analyzing data and methods and approaches to resolve employee benefit problems. The Sr. Benefits Analyst serves as a mentor and helps coach other Benefits team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

Oversees day-to-day benefit program administration including but not limited to health and welfare benefits, 401k, leave administration and wellbeing programs.Participates in the implementation of all facets of Annual Open Enrollment including open enrollment meetings partnering with Benefits leadership.Engages and takes an active role in developing, recommending, and implementing approved, new, or modified employee benefits plans and policies.Manages the maintenance of benefits and enrollment data in Workday and through secure vendor web-based systems.Ensures all employee benefit materials (print and electronic) are kept up-to-date and meet all legal requirements, plan provisions, and company policies.Responsible for program compliance with company policies and controls and with the laws, regulations and rules issued or enforced by state, Federal and foreign regulatory authorities (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).Maintains proactive communication with third party vendors to monitor plan and vendor performance and to ensure any plan design changes are properly implemented.Assesses and documents internal processes and provide recommendations to improve, streamline and enhance accuracy through reengineering, establishing new methodologies with the goal of continuous process improvement.Ensures accurate and timely filing or processing of all employee benefit reporting and disclosure responsibilities and any/all nondiscrimination testing process.Researches, analyzes, and resolves non-standard benefits issues and responds to escalated employee service requests.Stays up-to-date and knowledgeable of current trends in benefits and industry compliance changes.Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience serving as a Benefits subject matter expertStrong attention to detail, proactive, ability to multi-task and work independently (with minimal supervision) and be highly organizedProficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite (specifically Excel) and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred).Experience building and maintaining relationships with important partners such as HR business partners and HRIS to achieve results beneficial to the larger team.Ability to work with changing priorities effectively and efficientlyProven critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong working knowledge of benefit and leave laws and regulationsExcellent communication skills, written and verbal; Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
