Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

Coordinating with Project Mangers, track monthly progress billings and prepare and submit invoices for all construction jobs. Prepare appropriate lien releases. Review construction contracts for billing terms and conditions and ensure invoices are prepared accordingly. Work with subcontractors to obtain appropriate documentation to support invoice packages, including securing the appropriate lien releases. Working with the Payroll Department, assist in securing the required certified payroll reports from Mesa subcontractors. Actively monitor accounts receivable aging and make collection calls. Problem solve collection or slow pay issues to ensure invoices collected as quickly as possible. Prepare service invoices including preventative maintenance contracts, T&M, and Quoted work. Monitor status of service calls and follow-up with dispatch to close calls so they can be billed. Monitor the Open Work Order Report to ensure KPIs related to billing are being achieved.  Assist the Director of Finance on special projects or ad hoc requests. Take meeting notes at project review meetings and assist in follow-up with open items.  Follow-up to include work with the Project Managers, Accounts Payable, Billing and other accounting personnel.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.) 

Excellent in Excel Understanding of COINS accounting software a plus. 5+ years construction billing experience Lien Release and Lien Law knowledge. Certified payroll experience Self motivated and a good communicator, both written and oral.

Compensation Range:   $36 - $42 per hour
