Sr Buyer
Job Title: Sr BuyerResponsibilitiesCreate purchase orders for a variety of items including raw material, castings/forgings, machined components, hardware, MRO, outside processing, and services in accordance with customer specifications.Handle multiple commodities including specialty hardware, electronic components, fasteners, sole source products, etc.Obtain competitive quotes to ensure the most economical price consistent with quality and vendor performance records.Interview suppliers to obtain best prices and ensure product specifications.Implement and manage Long Term Agreements with suppliers.Perform follow-ups and consult with vendors regarding late deliveries and expedite requests.Place orders for materials under well-defined specifications and standards.Follow all safety rules set by the company.Collaborate with other departments to resolve ongoing issues, streamline processes, and reduce waste.Lead cost reduction/lean projects within the Supply Chain.Essential Skills3-5 years of aerospace purchasing experience.Bachelor's Degree.Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP).Experience with ERP systems.Strong negotiation skills.Knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices.Familiarity with AS9100/ISO Quality Systems, ITAR regulations, DFAR, and Nadcap requirements.Ability to read blueprints and negotiate contract terms and conditions.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.Strong organizational skills for efficient office control.Experience in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated results.Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple work phases.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
