Description

Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of civil engineering projects and programs,
ensuring the successful conclusion within an appropriate time and at an appropriate cost.

Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned engineering projectsManage projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansions, or modificationsProvide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulationsContribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areasDevelop and evaluate AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requestsMay evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipmentMay represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teamsPerform other duties as requiredQualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in Engineering or a related field, ORMaster's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in Engineering or related fieldWorking knowledge and experience with Civil Engineering applications, which could include design, construction and maintenance of infrastructureBroad knowledge of the principles and practices of Civil EngineeringAbility to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsSkill in managing large/complex Engineering projectsSkill in effective communication, both verbal and writtenAbility to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvementAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Preferred:

Professional Engineering licenseExperience with cost estimating for civil projects, project scheduling and project controlsExperience using engineering software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GoldSim), programming languagesExperience working in Mining environment and/or residential construction

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $98,000-$137,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. What We Require
