This role is pivotal in ensuring that our cloud-based applications are delivered with precision, reliability, and speed. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cloud operations, automation, and release management, with a deep understanding of Windows, Linux, MSSQL and Oracle DBs, AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). + Collaborate on the implementation, design and management of release processes across multi-cloud environments, ensuring the seamless deployment and delivery of cloud application updates and upgrades to our SaaS product. + Work closely with the core automation team to provide requirements and contribute to the development of base automation code, ensuring it meets release team needs. + Work closely with DevOps, development engineering, and operations teams to identify and implement process automation opportunities, reducing manual intervention and operational risks, and ensuring alignment with core automation strategies. + Monitor and optimize the performance of release operations, collaborating on the use of automation tools to proactively address potential issues and ensure high availability, while maintaining the handed-off code. + Assist in utilizing event-driven automation frameworks, such as OCI Events and AWS Lambda, by providing requirements and ensuring their integration into the core automation code, enhancing operational resilience. + Provide technical guidance to other team globally distributed team members, Identify opportunities for process automation, show accountability in creating process improvement and team training initiatives while promoting best practices in release automation and ensuring proper maintenance of the core automation code. + Ensure all release processes comply with security standards and best practices, effectively mitigating risks associated with cloud deployments. + Collaborate on the development and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for release processes, automation scripts, and infrastructure configurations, ensuring alignment with the core automation codebase. + Oversee Release Data Management: Ensure that all release tasks and environment records are meticulously documented and maintained in ServiceNow, adhering to rigorous data quality and consistency standards, and ensuring consistency with core automation practices. + A customer service mindset is key. Work Location:India-RemoteQualifications: Must-have skills/experience: 3 years’ experience in using various programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python or similar well-known languages. 5 years’ experience in using MSSQL, Oracle, or similar database systems. Experience in creating both simple and complex database queries and creating SQL scripts. 3 years’ experience in supporting any of the following fields: Enterprise customer-facing application, computing platforms, and systems; or Operation, Automation, DevOps, Delivery Engineer, Service Reliability Engineer, or similar field. L3 and L4 application troubleshooting experience with the ability to identify and document the root cause of application issues. Experience with AWS and OCI, and experience with cloud container services such as ECS, EKS, or AKS is a major plus. Willing to work on permanent mid or night shift, Tuesday to Saturday, and amenable to changes on schedule depending on business needs. Nice-to-have skills/ experience: Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management, Ansible Tower for configuration management, and Terraform for infrastructure as code is a significant bonus for this role. Experience with enterprise monitoring, management tools, ticketing tools, and log management systems.
