Responsibilities:
Creating and optimizing cloud infrastructure designs based on business needs, including network topology, storage solutions, and security configurationsManaging applications and data in cloud platforms, managing deployment processes, and ensuring smooth transitionMonitoring cloud resource utilization, managing costs, scaling infrastructure up or down based on demandEnabling observability best practices to ensure health of infrastructure components and applicationsImplementing robust security measures to protect cloud environments, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management. Writing scripts to automate cloud management tasks, such as provisioning servers, deploying updates, and managing configurationsImplementing DevOps practices to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate code deployment Identifying and resolving technical issues related to cloud services, providing technical support to users.Analyzing cloud usage and identifying opportunities to reduce cloud spending.• Working closely with development teams, project managers, and product owners to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutionsJob Qualifications:
7-10 years managing and administering cloud components in GCP - includes Anthos,Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, Big Query, services, APIs, and best practices5 years’ experience deploying Postgres, Kafka, and other software in GCP5 years’ experience developing Terraform and Ansible scripts to provision and manage cloud infrastructure in GCP5 years’ Experience implementing observability functions using Elastic, Kibana, Mix Panel or similar5 years’ experience implementing DevOps practices that include implementing CICD pipelines using Jenkins and collaborating with development teams to ensure efficient application deployment and monitoring processes5 years’ experience creating GCP cost reports. Define plan to reduce costs5 years of experience working with geospatial data that include vector and raster data processing5 years of experience designing, implementing, and testing Disaster Recovery methods across cloud regionsExperience working with technologies that create and render geospatial tile set within an application user interface is a plusAwareness of cloud security best practices, including identity management, Single sign on, data encryption, and compliance regulationsStrong understanding of network concepts like subnetting, routing, firewalls, and load balancingKnowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologiesAbility to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
