Role/ Department: Sr Consultant, Compensation Operations Lead /Compensation and Benefits
Through project oriented work and day-to-day activities, the Compensation Operations Lead role will support global compensation teams across different business units/functions and our global employee population. This role will perform various activities, including but not limited to, coordinating and administering annual planning activities, implementing new and improving existing compensation practices and processes, developing analytics and reporting. The compensation operations team works closely with our HR, Talent, and Total Rewards teams to drive consistence, compliance and continuous improvement and efficiency across our processes, data solution and systems.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Leads planning and execution of the enterprise-wide annual compensation planning cycle and partners with global rewards and project team on required testing, communications, change management and support to HRBPs.
• Supports on compensation related requests, including role evaluation and salary reviews, maintaining the integrity of job architecture and salary planning framework.
• Serves as an escalation point and function Subject Matter Expert, often handling complex, high profile, and sensitive work.
• Oversees the maintenance and integrity of compensation databases and the job descriptions; consults with HR Technology regarding problems with programming and data integrity and makes recommendations for system enhancements.
• Serves as advanced compensation SME within HCM solution (Workday) and partners with HR Technology team to understand system capabilities to ensure future compensation program design can be implemented and maintained effectively.
• Assists in the development of educational materials, tools, and necessary training modules to increase HRBPs and management understanding of existing or new compensation programs and practices.
• Leads creation documentation of compensation processes and procedures using best practice, data management, and operational principles to reduce administrative burdens and improve overall efficiency.
• Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the Business Unit/Function Compensation and HR Business Partners to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of compensation experience or experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Advanced knowledge of compensation management principles and practice
• Advanced knowledge and experience working with Excel and PowerPoint
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups at all levels of the organization.
• Highly flexible, adaptable to change and comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
• Detail and results oriented with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, within a fast-paced team environment, where strong organizational skills are required.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading projects in a global organization.
• Advanced analytical and modeling skills using Excel, with ability to organize, structure and process moderate to large sets of data efficiently and effectively into meaningful and actionable insights.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative required
• Ability to exercise judgment and problem-solve with minimal direction
